Nondiscrimination Policy
It is the policy of Pine Grove Ambulatory Surgical Center (PGASC) that it will not discriminate against any individual, staff or visitors with respect to race, color, religious creed, ancestry, union membership, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, AIDS or HIV status or disability.
Purpose/ Procedure:
The purpose of this policy is to protect the rights of individuals. PGASC will not discriminate with respect to:
- Admission of care
- Assigning patients to rooms, floors or sections
- Assignment of staff to patient services
- Staff privileges of professionally qualified personnel
- Utilization of the health care facility
- Transfer of patients
PGASC will comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S. C. A. §2000e-2000e17) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (43 P.S. §§ 951-962.2).
The policy will be posted in the surgery center and on the PGASC website.
